Park and Lake Regulations
1. Only Members of the Four Seasons Community Association are generally allowed to use the Park facilities for any purpose. Membership is annual, requiring the payment of dues each May.
a. Article 6 E of the constitution prohibits Members from bringing in as guests persons owning or renting property in Four Seasons.
b. Article 6 F of the constitution prohibits the use of Association property by residents of Four Seasons who are not Members of the Association. (The Trustees may, from time to time, make allowances for nonmembers to use Association property such as, annual picnics, trial visits to the park, and pilot recreational programs)
2. No floatation devices (other than water wings) may be used inside the roped off swimming area of the lake. If water wings are used, an adult must be with the child.
3. An adult or responsible individual MUST accompany all swimmers under the age of 12 unless the child has passed the “green” water test and has written permission from a parent.
4. All non-swimmers must confine their bathing to water inside the roped off swimming area even when accompanied by a swimming companion.
5. Children under 16 years of age must report to the lifeguard at the beginning of each season for ability testing in order to swim outside of the roped off area.
6. Members should introduce their guests to the lifeguards.
7. There will be a rest period each hour. During the rest period, only adults are permitted in the lake.
8. Wrestling or horseplay is not permitted in the swimming or beach area.
9. Life-saving equipment shall not be handled by persons other than lifeguards except during an emergency (on instructions by a lifeguard) or instruction period.
10. Report all injuries, no matter how slight, to the lifeguard so that first aid may be administered.
11. Members who wish to entertain more than 6 guests in the Park are required to contact their area trustee and comply with the following regulations:
a. Register the date and times with the designated Association Officer.
b. Deposit $50 with the designated Association Officer from whom you will receive any necessary keys.
c. Leave the Park in good condition or you will forfeit the deposit ($25) to the lifeguard that had to clean up your mess.
12. No one other than persons designated by the Trustees is allowed in the Park when it is closed.
a. The Park is open from 10:00a.m. - 10:00p.m. Saturday through Thursday and 10:00a.m. - 11:00 p.m. on Fridays during the Bocce season (June through August).
b. Lifeguards are on duty from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day during the swimming season, generally from the close of school in the spring to the beginning of school in the fall.
13. Bicycles are to be parked in the bicycle stand.
14. No animals not specifically authorized by the Trustees are permitted in the Park.
15. Glass containers are prohibited in the Park.
16. Motor driven vehicles are not permitted in the Park.
17. Skateboards and rollerblades are prohibited in the Park.
18. Refuse is to be placed in the containers provided. Please put all aluminum cans in the recycling bins. Do not put other trash in the recycling bins.
19. Throwing trash, stones, wood, or any other articles into the lake is prohibited.
20. Fishing is not permitted in the swimming area or after dark.
21. Firearms, including air rifles, are not permitted in the Park.
22. Disorderly conduct is not allowed. Disorderly conduct is defined as follows: no person shall recklessly cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm to another by doing any of the following:
a. Engaging in fighting, threatening harm to persons or property, or in violent or turbulent behavior.
b. Making unreasonable noise or offensively coarse utterance, gesture or display, or communicating unwarranted and grossly abusive language to any person.
c. Insulting, taunting or challenging another under circumstances in which such conduct is likely to provoke a violent response.
d. Hindering or preventing the movement of persons on a public street, road, highway or right-of-way, or to, from, within or upon public or Park property, so as to interfere with the rights of others and by any act which serves no lawful and reasonable purpose of the offender.
e. Creating a condition which is physically offensive to persons or which presents a risk of physical harm to persons or property by any act that serves no lawful and reasonable purpose of the offender.
23. Any Member who is on Association property must identify him or herself and their guests if asked to do so by any trustee or lifeguard who is attempting to enforce these rules.
24. Any guest must be accompanied by the host member. Visitors under the age of 16 must be physically accompanied by the Member. Older guests may bring a note of introduction from the Member giving the Member’s name, phone and names of the guests. Guests are subject to all rules and regulations of the Association.
ENFORCEMENT:
1. All regulations will be enforced by the Trustees and the lifeguards who have full authority when on duty.
2. Members who witness any vandalism or behavior contrary to the laws of Aurora, Portage County, Ohio, or the United States are urged to immediately call the Aurora Police at 330-562-8181 and identify persons.
3. Violation of any Four Seasons Community Association rules will subject the violator to suspension or revocation of membership and legal action, if appropriate.
